Have you always wanted to try SCUBA diving, but didn’t want to commit to the classes or the expense?  SNUBA might be exactly what you are looking for! This unique underwater experience is available on all of our Maui snorkeling tours.  Since most of Maui’s snorkel sites have depths of 10 – 35 feet, a Maui SNUBA tour is a great way to see marine life up close and personal rather than snorkeling on the surface.

SNUBA is a unique, patented, shallow water, a diving system that bridges the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. The tanks sit on top of a raft that stays on the surface, so it eliminates the hassle of the diving equipment.   You are connected with a constant flow of air via a long hose. This allows you to have more movement, and you are never more than a few feet away from the security of the raft floating on the surface. Your depth can be determined by your comfort level whether that be 2 feet or 10.

A professional instructor guides you thru instructions on the use, techniques, and procedure. Once in the water, your SNUBA experience lasts approximately 30 minutes. Created for those who want to experience the wonders of breathing underwater and diving down for longer periods of time.

It is safe, easy, and you are accompanied by a Certified Scuba – Instructor the entire time. With a diver alongside for assistance, as your underwater marine life guide, they will help introduce and point you in the right direction. There are some medical conditions that may preclude being able to SNUBA, which will be discussed with your Maui SNUBA instructor. It is easily accessible to all individuals even children (8 years and older). This is truly a unique and exciting option to try.
