Hear Maui’s Whales Sing
The Four Winds II has a hydro-phone (a large microphone) on board, which the captain can lower into the water. You will love listening to the songs of Maui’s whales LIVE on board. You can also hear them singing while you are underwater snorkeling or SNUBA diving.
Maui Whale Marine Naturalists On Board
Four Winds marine naturalists and crew are fun and engaging and will explain and educate you on Maui’s whales, which are federally protected creatures. Learn interesting facts about the humpback whales, including behaviors, and why the whales migrate to Maui.
Relax On Board
For those who do not wish to get in the water and snorkel, there’s still plenty to enjoy. Explore the glass bottom viewing room and relax on the spacious decks. Our knowledgeable and helpful crew can explain Maui’s surroundings and provide you information on whales and other marine life. You can eat and drink at your own leisure while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Maui’s coastline.
Guests can experience SNUBA, which can make your adventure exceptional.

SAFETY FIRST: Your safety is important to us! Each of our crew members are Red Cross Certified, CPR and FIRST AID trained. While snorkeling, we make sure there is ample crew, both in and out of the water, for your assistance and safety. We also have a certified scuba diver in the water for those that SNUBA.
NOTE: During Maui’s whale watching season (December- March) we are unable to utilize any of our sport fishing gear.
*Snorkel sites are selected at the discretion of the captain. We always attempt to reach Molokini when weather and conditions permit.
